New things to come! I start @ SVA in August, which i'm pumped for. And I have a single! No roommate for Anna! yayyyyyy! This is wonderful news, since no one will interfere with me plastering the walls with Shepard Fairey Prints, band stickers, stickers proclaiming my gayness, and a kajillion Tegan and Sara posters! Sahweet! And it also means I get my own bathroom. Thank goodness.
So for right now, things are going well. I have a really good job, with really good hours, doing work I love with wonderful people! It couldn't be better! I'm a graphic design intern at my local community college, and I'm getting paid $13.50 an hour! Unfathomable! And I work 28 hours a week, so I'm pretty much rollin! Haha, its awesome. I make brochures and posters and stuff. I love it because I get to use Indesign and ohotoshop and illustrator every day! And sometimes when cool stuff is going on on campus, my boss is just like "go take some pictures"! It's wonderful, and it meshes together design and photography, two things I love very dearly.
Cuz don't think that my change of major means I love photography less! This is not true! I just did some thinking, and talked to some people who are much wiser than me, and determined that graphic design was the best choice. Firstly, because I'm not totally locked into graphic design. With photography at SVA, you major in photo and thats it. Basically all your classes are phototastic. And I love art too much for that! All types of art! I want to be able to take classes in drawing and painting and sculpting, and basically be able to take in the collected experience of all the amazing and successful artistic people I will be surrounded with. Graphic design shares a foundation year with (I think) Illustration and Advertising, both of which I can see myself going into. So If I suddenly decide I want to constantly draw for the rest of my life (illustration) or decide that I actually want to make money (advertising) I can change! I ust love too many forms of art and different artists to force myself to focus on one thing forever. How could I possibly do that? I already do a kajillion things at once!
Well that was quite a rant. I would apologize, but no one will ever read it. So I don't have to! Well, have a good day anna. Maybe you'll go to harry potter today and go to "sonic", if things work out!

Keep up the good picture work (Wish I had been able to catch the GPP, there must be a lot of photo-ops there)
